Dear
Colleagues:
Welcome to the North Carolina College and University
Professional Association for Human Resources (NCCUPA-HR).
As a state chapter of the National College and University Professional
Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), our mission is to provide
leadership and support for the growth and development of Human Resource
professionals serving within higher education in the state of North
Carolina. Whether you’re a member, thinking about becoming a
member, or just curious about NCCUPA-HR, you’ve come to the
right place.
I am extremely honored to serve as your President for the 2008-2009 term and do not take lightly the trust and expectations you have placed upon me. One of the many reasons I am thrilled to be part of this organization is because of its long-standing commitment to provide ongoing efforts of leadership, service, innovative learning and networking to the Human Resource profession. I look forward to serving as President along with the very capable and tremendously talented slate of Officers and Directors of NCCUPA-HR for the next two years.
Since 1971, the NCCUPA-HR has aspired to provide members with in-depth information, annual conferences, and professional development workshops to foster professional growth and enhance workplace awareness within the field of higher education.
Belonging to NCCUPA-HR, which continues to serve you today, is an excellent way to stay current and develop a valuable network of information sharing and collaboration. I invite you to join me in supporting NCCUPA-HR through your paid membership.
Membership dues cover our fiscal year, which is July 1 – June 30. Individual memberships, along with institutional memberships are available. The Application for Membership can be found as an attachment to this email. We ask that membership dues be paid by August 31st each year. Please note that we have a new Treasurer, Donna Kimrey. The completed Application for Membership along with your payment need to be sent to her at the address shown on the form. Please be sure to complete an application on each member from your institution.
On behalf of NCCUPA-HR and its Officers and Directors I encourage you to visit our website at http://www.nccupa-hr.org, and hope that you will join us in our efforts to provide the most cost effective professional development opportunities possible for Human Resource professionals in the higher education arena across the state of North Carolina.
Please go ahead and mark several dates on your busy calendars now: our 2008 Annual Fall Conference will be held October 22-24, 2007 at the Embassy Suites in Concord, North Carolina.
Thank you again for your continued support of NCCUPA-HR and I look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Rick Nichols
NCCUPA-HR, President
